Several years ago, we had a delicious coffee from El Salvador. It's availability was kind of hit-and-miss so when the opportunity arose recently to acquire some more of it, I jumped on it!
We're picking it up from the warehouse today so will try to get some of it roasted tomorrow or Friday. It's Rainforest Certified and is an Estate Coffee from the El Pilon farm, located in the western part of El Salvador in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec Mountain Region.
More on this coffee will appear in Friday's newsletter after we've had a chance to cup it. The profiles listed from the farm describe it as being - juicy, with fruity caramel notes and a hint of chocolate in the aftertaste.
